Noel Abbott (born 1934) is an Australian-born international authority on natural science, and the former Director of Botanic Gardens Trust (BGT) in London, having previously been Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

In 2017 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Massey University.

Windows.Web.Http WebRequest not returning Content-Type header
I am calling an endpoint on a.NET 4.5 WebAPI using WebRequest.
I am using the following code to call the endpoint:

content = reader.ReadToEnd();
The issue I am having is that I am not getting a content-type header in the response. However, when I call the endpoint using WebClient.UploadString(), I do get the right content-type header.
Is there a way I can get the correct content-type header in the response?
I think this is related to the change that WebClient introduced on January 7th.
